What does a Christmas tree represent?


Historical evidence shows that Christmas tree is a kid toy and entertaining object, which originated in a popular medieval Paradise Play. This play performed around Christmas. In the play, Christmas tree plays a role of tree of knowledge.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2: 9)

The tree of knowledge should be interesting and beautiful, because Eve and Adam were interested so much in the tree. That’s why people decorates Christmas tree to be beautiful.
