Which pagan god was honored in Christmas celebration?

Question

Which pagan god was honored in Christmas celebration?

Answer

None.

Christmas celebration is to commemorate the birth of King Jesus Christ (Luke 2: 13-14, 2 Timothy 2:8) and the descendance of the Word to the earth (John 1: 14).

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2: 13-14)

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. (Luke 2: 20)

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of “the only begotten”1 of “the Father”2,) full of grace and truth. (John 1: 14)

Christmas celebration is nothing to do with any pagan god.

Note

1Figurative word “the only begoten” refers to The God’s Wisdom or The God’s Word, i.e Essence of The God’s substance.
2Figurative word “father” refers to YHWH or the GOD or, in Arabic Christ followers, Allah swt.
