When did an angel visit Joseph?
Answer
God sent an angel to Joseph when he considered to put her away.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 1: 19-20)
The reason for his consideration was the son, which was conceived in Mary. Then, this event happened after Joseph knew her pregnancy.
Mary returned home in the first week of July 5 BC Julian Calendar. They met in about second week of July 5 BC. Then, an angel visited Joseph in about third week of July 5 BC.
